tgin Foundation's 9th Annual Cocktails for the Cure Gala Returns to Advance Breast Health Equity and Expand Access to Care

As the Foundation’s signature fundraising event, Cocktails for the Cure aims to raise $150,000 to support low- and moderate-income women women affected by breast cancer, as well as their caregivers. Guests will gather for an evening of cocktails, community, and philanthropy while celebrating survivorship, honoring those impacted by breast cancer, and advancing the Foundation’s mission to expand access to critical breast health resources and support services.

Founded in honor of Thank God It’s Natural (tgin) founder and breast cancer advocate Chris-Tia Donaldson, the tgin Foundation was established to address the disparities that prevent many women from accessing life-saving breast health resources and treatment. Since its inception, the Foundation has remained committed to breaking generational silence around breast cancer, expanding access to care, and advancing breast health equity.

“Every year, Cocktails for the Cure serves as a powerful reminder of the legacy that Chris-Tia Donaldson left behind,” said Aris Singleton, CEO of tgin. “Chris-Tia understood firsthand the challenges women face when navigating a breast cancer diagnosis, and she was determined to ensure that no woman would have to do it alone. What began as her personal mission has grown into a movement that continues to touch thousands of lives. As her niece, it is incredibly meaningful to see our community come together each year to honor her memory, celebrate survivors, and invest in a future where every woman has access to the care, resources, and support she deserves.”

The event is expected to welcome hundreds of attendees, including professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, survivors, caregivers, and community advocates united by a shared commitment to improving outcomes for women impacted by breast cancer.

Over the past eight years, the tgin Foundation has generated measurable impact throughout the Chicago community, including:

  • Reaching more than 25,000 women through breast health education initiatives
  • Engaging over 5,000 symposium attendees
  • Providing more than 1,000 rides to care
  • Building partnerships with dozens of community organizations and medical professionals
  • Distributing more than $1 million in product donations

“When I think about why this Foundation exists, I think about my sister, Chris-Tia,” said Dr. Piper Farrell, Executive Director of tgin Foundation. “As her sister and caregiver during her breast cancer journey, I witnessed firsthand the challenges that can arise when access to care is not equitable. I also witnessed her determination to create a future where no woman would face breast cancer alone. That vision continues to guide our work every day. Through Cocktails for the Cure, we come together to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones, and raise critical funds to expand access to care for women who need it most.”

This year’s gala will celebrate the strength of survivors, honor the loved ones who have been lost, and raise critical funds to help more women access screenings, treatment support, transportation assistance, education, and wellness resources. Through storytelling, community connection, and philanthropy, the evening will highlight the ongoing need to remove barriers that prevent women from accessing timely and equitable breast healthcare.

Looking ahead, the Foundation aims to significantly expand its impact through education, wellness initiatives, access-to-care programs, and strategic community partnerships that improve breast health outcomes for underserved women across the country.
