Omabit Announces Seed Financing to Advance Scientific Decision-Making in Drug Development

Omabit, a company developing AI to support scientific decision-making, today announced $2 million in seed financing led by Bright Ventures. Omabit integrates a life science company’s own genomic, clinical and other scientific data with relevant published research to conduct analyses and develop predictive models that help its teams interpret scientific findings and guide subsequent research and development.

Life science companies accumulate extensive scientific knowledge throughout the drug development process, including clinical trials, yet evidence often remains fragmented across studies, vendors and systems. Investigating relationships across these sources can require substantial time and coordination. Omabit brings this evidence into a common analytical environment, enabling scientific teams to rapidly investigate questions that span datasets and studies.

“Each clinical study generates evidence that can shape what happens next—from understanding differences in patient response to planning a subsequent trial or preparing for regulatory discussions,” said Elena Cassidy, PhD, CEO & Co-Founder of Omabit. “We bring that evidence together so scientific teams can investigate critical questions in greater depth and carry a more complete understanding into their development decisions.”

Within Omabit’s analytical environment, teams can investigate scientific questions in plain language, review results with traceability to the underlying evidence, and identify further analyses to pursue. As new data become available, they can be incorporated alongside existing evidence to support continued investigation.

Omabit’s initial focus is supporting clinical development, biomarker and translational teams in analyzing completed studies and planning future trials. Teams can examine differences in treatment response and assess findings in the context of relevant published studies and comparison datasets. These investigations can help refine patient selection, guide subsequent study design and clarify the scientific evidence underlying regulatory discussions.

“Understanding differences in treatment response requires connecting molecular variation with what is observed in patients,” said Michael Snyder, scientific advisor to Omabit. “Bringing genomic and clinical evidence together can reveal relationships that are difficult to see in isolation and help researchers develop more precise hypotheses about the biology underlying clinical outcomes.”

“We look for founders who combine deep expertise with a clear understanding of the problem they are solving,” said Lenore Champagne Beirne, Founder and Managing Partner of Bright Ventures. “Omabit’s team is addressing a consequential challenge: enabling scientific organizations to build on the knowledge they already hold. We see a significant opportunity to make that capability part of how clinical development teams work every day.”

The financing will fund continued platform development and expand Omabit’s scientific and engineering capacity, supporting broader adoption across life science companies and integration into their research and development workflows.

The announcement follows Omabit joining the Stanford StartX community in summer 2026.
